My Bio

Character Development Profile:

Aliases:

Jane, Janey, Janey Jane, Miss Porter and, on a one off, 'Oh-I-see'

Age:

Jane is a young Adult in her early twenties. A schooled and well-educated young lady.

Alignment:

Good

Personality:

Jane is one of these ladies who on first appearance seems delicate, sweet and all around, a woman with a lot of etiquette. And she does have that about her. She's one of the sweetest women that you could ever meet, with intelligence to spare and an overwhelming amount of empathy for those who need it. However, she can be so much more than almost a 'Mary Poppins' figure. Although most women in her time period were often taking on jobs that included sewing and cooking, or simply would work around the house for their husbands, Jane had taken science and discovery in her stride -in aid to discover the gorilla. Not only does this dignify her intelligence and give her an overall eccentric confident look, but it shows the independence and courage she really has. Of course, at times, she can come across rather rambly and shy, often not knowing when to stop rambling over the littlest of things, and she does have a tendency to react in the most humourous of ways, but at the same time, she's a patient young woman- Ideal for teaching others about the information she knows. She's quick at picking up on information from others and all the while have fun as she does it. She's just the girl for teaching a monkey-man how to talk and learn more about human history and behaviour.

Abilities:

As mentioned above, Jane is a quick learner -able to pick up on details that others may not say directly. Jane is also rather skilled at adapting to her surroundings quite easily, as shown in the movie through her wardrobe. she starts in what appears to be an impractical gown, and eventually begins to show more and more of her skin -ending up in clothing similar to Tarzan's, only covering the, uh... necessary parts. Jane is also skilled in the art department, keeping a sketchpad close to her at all times and drawing detailed sketches of the life around her in a matter of minutes. Jane is incredibly intelligent, and her intellect is possibly her greatest weapon for her. What she lacks in strength, she makes up for in brains.

Habits:

Jane takes a habit of being distracted from 'normality' to get captured in her own trails of thought or in her surroundings. She likes to observe the nature and scenery around her, and therefore sometimes loses track of where people are sometimes, trailing away from a group of people or perhaps a situation. Jane also has a tendency to ramble on a bit if someone doesn't stop her. Usually over something that doesn't quite need as much explaining as she's giving you. Also, when panicked, these explanations don't always make the most sense, as she only gives you the most memorable details... And the most memorable details, all put together, don't always make sense on their own...

Flaws:

Once again, as before mentioned, she's a rambler, which means that it takes her a lot more time to get something out before she actually says it. That, and her own body strength isn't particularly great. She's not the strongest pea in the pod, and that, in the jungle, can be her downfall. Another problem for Jane is that she's not always the best at making decisions. She often relies on something that's been said in the past to make her decision for her and then sticks to it, unless convinced otherwise. For example, the idea of staying in the jungle and leaving her old life behind seemed impossible when first said to her, and was decisive that she must stay with her father and go back to England. It wasn't until her father convinced her that the jungle was where she wanted to be that she finally agreed and ran back to join Tarzan in the jungle.

Similar Characters:

:iconwdisneyrp-elizabeth: : They are both young ladies with intelligence and etiquette but, in the end, decisively choose to take on an alternative and somewhat obscure lifestyle.
:iconwdisneyrp-milo: : They both share the scientific intelligence and the want to discover brand new creatures, and venture to brand new environments.

You must be Jane. Hi I’m Brissa. Huge fan of your work.
Arthur has fallen asleep at the root of a large tree
"Oh those little monkeys can be such a bother at times," Jane said as she dusted the dirt off her skirt. As she was doing so, she wasn't truly paying enough attention to where her feet were leading her. Upon looking up, she realized she was face-to-face with a tree and had almost ran into it. "Oh, good heavens!"
Arthur suddenly sat up, tiredly having major cowlick.
"Huh? No I wasn't sleeping merlin" he bumbled
Jane stared at the tree with a confused expression. Did the tree just talk? Of, course not, that wouldn't make sense would it. Jane slowly leaned and looked behind the tree. She breathed in a sigh of relief when she saw the boy. "Oh! Hello." She saw his messy hair and averted her eyes a bit. "I hope I didn't disturb you."

Ursula is in the jungle river
Jane stumbled a bit through the last bush and finally reached a clear area of the river. She looked around and took in the wonder around her. "Extraordinary. This will do just perfectly." She pulled a pencil out of her hair and her sketchbook out of her bag. "The water looks almost otherworldly."
